Where Students Experience Success!

Dyslexia Tutor and Intensive Reading Tutor for Homeschool Students in Houston, TX and Across The United States

Helping children with dyslexia, learning differences, and struggling readers throughout the Houston metropolitan area and The United States

Are you parents of a child who is struggling with reading, writing, or spelling and also homeschooling your child? If you want to keep your child in a homeschool setting but your child is struggling with literacy, I offer services for homeschool children.

I offer comprehensive, evidence-based instruction to remediate dyslexia and ensure struggling readers experience increased success. I provide academic dyslexia therapy using Structured Literacy, which is different from traditional tutoring, which meets the standards of the International Dyslexia Association and the International Multisensory Structured Language Education Council. I also offer intensive Structured Literacy tutoring, which is proven effective for struggling readers. A plethora of peer-reviewed, research-based studies support that Structured Literacy is most effective for all students, and it is especially needed for struggling readers.

I offer the gold standard of effective instruction for students with language-based learning differences such as dyslexia, which is the Orton-Gillingham Approach.  The Orton-Gillingham approach falls under a Structured Literacy approach, which is multisensory, explicit, systematic, and cumulative. This approach breaks down language into manageable patterns and structures in a systematic manner. Literacy is taught in a way that is more accessible to the dyslexic learner and struggling readers.  A diagnostic-prescriptive approach is applied, which allows me to personalize instruction to target students’ areas of needed support and enhance their strengths.  I have more than 17 years of experience. I have Orton-Gillingham-based training from Neuhaus Education Center, am a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT), Reading Therapist, and am certified in Texas as a Special Education, General Education, and ESL Teacher.  Please see my about section to learn more about my experience.

“Natalie has been an answered prayer for our family. My 1st grader was really struggling with reading, spelling, writing and so was his confidence. Natalie started working with my son and I was so impressed with her knowledge, and ability to teach my son when nothing else has worked before.  My son is gaining confidence and gets so excited with each improvement. I would recommend Natalie to anyone who has a child who is struggling because she has really made a difference for our family!”
